Memojin is an intelligent study app that helps you understand, practice and retain knowledge over the long term through:

  • Lessons (from documents, text, YouTube videos or AI-generated)
  • Memo cards (concepts to memorize)
  • Questions (exercises)
  • Smart planning (calendar and exams)
  • Spaced repetition logic (SRS)
  • Collaboration and teaching tools

The dashboard provides an overview of your activity:

  • Mastered cards and consecutive study day streak
  • Daily study time (goal and progress)
  • Today's goals (upcoming exams, MemoBoost)
  • Activity feed (sessions, scores, recent events)
  • Personalized recommendations (study tips)
  • Quick access to the collaborative space and groups

MemoBoost is a short daily session, automatically suggested each day. It selects the most relevant cards to review based on your mastery level and SRS. Completing your MemoBoost every day helps maintain your study streak.

A session corresponds to a work block (e.g., 15 minutes), linked to review or practice, with breaks. It is a recommended framework, never a constraint.

Memojin automatically schedules the review of each concept based on your mastery level, updated with every interaction (review and practice).

No. The SRS remains the core learning logic. Exams are only used to:

  • Prioritize work
  • Organize reviews over time
  • Visualize progress relative to a deadline

Yes. You can change the language from the user menu β†’ Language. French and English are available.

Content & Organization
17 questions

A course is a main workspace, corresponding to a subject or topic (History, Math, Law, Medicine…). A course can contain:

  • Chapters and lessons
  • Summaries
  • Memo cards and questions

Each course has its own progress tracking.

Two methods:

  • From My courses β†’ Create a course
  • From "Add content" β†’ A course

You set the course name, and optionally an image or icon. Content (lessons, cards) is added afterwards. Jin can also automatically create the chapter.

Chapters are used to organize a course into major sections. They make navigation and content structure easier, without directly affecting review mechanics.

A lesson is a content unit within a chapter. It can be created in four ways:

  • Documents: import your PDFs, images or presentations
  • Text: write or paste your content directly
  • AI generation: let Jin create a custom lesson from a prompt
  • YouTube video: import a video's transcript

Each lesson serves as the basis for generating memo cards and questions.

When adding content, choose "YouTube video". Memojin automatically extracts the video transcript to generate a structured lesson. From this lesson, you can then generate memo cards, questions and a summary. The source video remains accessible from the lesson's Source tab.

An AI-generated lesson is created by Jin from a prompt, without any imported document. The following are preserved:

  • The generation date
  • The prompt used (visible)
  • The user context (education level, etc.)

The lesson remains fully editable after generation.

Yes. From a course's action menu, you can:

  • Share the course and manage access
  • Edit the course
  • Delete the course

Warning: deleting a course will delete all its associated content.

A lesson within a course has six tabs:

  • Source: imported document, AI prompt or original YouTube video
  • Lesson: structured and readable content
  • Summary: condensed version of the lesson
  • Memo cards: concepts to remember, with their count
  • Questions: associated exercises, with their count
  • Progress: start a review or practice session, view ongoing sessions

The summary lets you quickly review key points and consolidate understanding before moving on to cards. It does not directly affect progress, which depends on completed memo cards and questions.

A contextual menu appears allowing you to:

  • Explain a passage simply
  • Give an example
  • Summarize the selected content
  • Generate a card from the passage

These actions apply only to the selected text.

A memo card represents a concept to remember, in the form of affirmative content. It is not a question: it is the knowledge base that review and practice rely on.

A question is an activity linked to a memo card, designed to test comprehension. Possible formats:

  • Multiple choice, single choice, true/false
  • Fill in the blank
  • Open-ended question

A memo card can have multiple questions with different difficulty levels.

Note: in decks, you can create standalone questions not linked to a memo card (this is not possible in a course).

Yes. When creating a question, you can add:

  • An image (PNG, JPG)
  • An audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG)

Yes. You can:

  • Create cards manually
  • Generate cards automatically via AI
  • Edit or delete existing cards

Warning: in My courses, deleting a memo card also deletes its associated questions.

The Test button lets you launch a quick practice session to preview how cards behave during a session.

A deck is a free selection of memo cards, created for a specific purpose. A deck can be populated from:

  • Documents (PDFs, images, presentations)
  • Text
  • YouTube videos
  • An Anki import (with all its cards)
  • Manually created cards

A deck has four tabs: Source, Memo cards, Questions and Progress.

Unlike a course, a deck has no chapters, lessons or summaries.

Yes. When creating a deck, choose "Anki Import". Your Anki cards are imported with their content. This option is available only for decks.

Review & Practice
16 questions

Both modes have complementary goals.

Review is based on memo cards (concepts). You indicate your level of understanding: Not understood / To review / Understood.

Practice is based on questions (exercises). Answers are evaluated as correct or incorrect.

Both modes influence progress, but in different ways.

You can start a review session:

  • From the Progress tab of a lesson, chapter or course
  • From the Reviews menu (all cards, with available filters)
  • From an exam (recommended session)

The number of included cards and estimated duration are always shown before starting.

It works the same as review: from the Progress tab or from the Reviews menu β†’ Practice. The relevant questions are suggested, with the option to filter before starting the session.

An ongoing session is a session that was started but not completed. It shows:

  • Start date and time
  • Number of cards completed / total
  • The πŸ‘ πŸ”„ πŸ‘Ž indicators and success rate

You can resume or delete a session at any time. Sessions to resume are automatically suggested when launching new sessions.

These indicators summarize your responses during a session:

  • πŸ‘: validated / correct answer
  • πŸ”„: answer to review
  • πŸ‘Ž: incorrect or not understood answer

These are two separate progress metrics:

  • Review (blue): memo cards seen / total
  • Practice (purple): questions attempted / total

Card mastery evolves automatically based on your activity.

A preparation is a session that combines concept review and practice application. The goal is to alternate memorization β†’ recall β†’ consolidation.

No preparation has been started yet. You can create one from the Reviews menu, a course or a deck.

Warning: in My decks, deleting a memo card does not automatically delete its questions. You are given the choice to:

  • Also delete the questions
  • Or only delete the memo card

An exam is a fixed-date goal (final exam, midterm, competitive exam…). It lets you:

  • Set a deadline
  • Select the relevant courses and chapters
  • Track progress (on time / behind / ahead)
  • Receive daily session recommendations

To create an exam, you provide:

  • A title
  • A date
  • A duration (in minutes)
  • The relevant courses and chapters

The duration corresponds to the actual exam length and is used to estimate the required preparation work.

Preparation refers to a structured plan of review and practice aimed at mastering concepts before the exam. It is organized into three phases:

  • Assimilation: discovering and understanding concepts
  • Consolidation: reinforcement through practice
  • Sharpening: targeted review before the exam

Each phase alternates between memo cards and questions. The goal of each phase is clearly displayed (e.g., "Goal: move to Consolidation").

The final test is a real-conditions simulation linked to an exam. It unlocks automatically when one of these conditions is met:

  • You are 7 days away from the exam date
  • You reach 80% overall mastery

It lets you test your knowledge under conditions close to the actual exam.

A shared exam is an exam created by your teacher or mentor, linked to an educational folder. It appears in the "Shared exams" tab of your My exams page, alongside your personal exams.

Before starting a review or practice session, a selector offers different durations: 1 min, 2 min, 4 min, 6 min, 8 min for review; 1 min, 2 min, 3 min for practice. The number of included cards or questions adjusts automatically.

Yes. Before starting a session, you can enable the "Shuffle" option to randomize the order of cards or questions.

Planning
3 questions

The calendar lets you visualize and plan your reviews:

  • Your daily availability (available time / planned time)
  • Your recommended sessions (linked to exams)
  • Your custom reminders
  • Your deadlines (exams with countdown)

The calendar can be displayed by day, week or month.

In the settings, you can define:

  • Your available time per day or per week
  • Your active or inactive days

Excluded periods let you block certain dates (holidays, personal unavailability…).

No. The calendar does not impose anything: it visualizes and recommends, but sessions are always started manually.

Collaboration & Sharing
5 questions

The Collaborative Space is accessible to all users. It includes two types of folders:

  • Friend folders: create and share study folders with your classmates. Each member can see others' progress, the activity feed and a ranking.
  • Mentor folders: access educational folders shared by your teachers or tutors.

From the Collaborative Space β†’ "New folder". Add members, then share courses and lessons in the folder.

You can share courses and lessons. Members access the shared content, including summaries, memo cards and questions (if generated).

No. Content remains the property of its creator. If a member leaves the folder, they automatically lose access to shared content.

Two methods:

  • Invitation code: from My profile β†’ Invitations, share your unique code. Your friend can use it to add you and join your collaborative space.
  • Referral: from My profile β†’ Referral, share your link or invite by email. You receive a bonus of AI quota as reserve when your referral takes their first subscription (up to 10 referrals).
Teaching & Tracking
8 questions

If you are a Mentor or Pro, a selector at the top of the navigation lets you switch between two interfaces:

  • I'm learning: your personal study space (courses, decks, exams, calendar, collaborative space)
  • I'm teaching: teaching tools (teacher dashboard, educational folders, student and group management)

Students do not have this selector: they only access the I'm learning mode.

In "I'm teaching" mode, the dashboard displays an overview of your teaching activity:

  • Number of active students and educational groups
  • Overall success rate and attendance
  • Global activity chart (sessions and cards studied, over 7, 30 or 90 days)
  • Student alerts (inactivity, difficulties)
  • Comparative group performance

Educational folders let you organize and share content with your students. Each folder provides:

  • Overview: key indicators (participation, attendance, success rate, mastery) with filters by content, group and period
  • Activity feed: history of actions (lessons added, members joined, reminders sent)
  • Content & Exams: shared courses and lessons, with the ability to schedule an exam for the folder
  • Students: list of students with their individual progress
  • Challenges: (coming soon)

Folder alerts automatically flag widespread difficulties (e.g., "50% of students below 5% success rate on a given lesson").

A group lets you organize your students. Each group includes:

  • Overview: participation, attendance, success rate, mastery, activity chart
  • Activity feed: history of group actions
  • Students: list of members with their activity status
  • Folders: educational folders linked to the group, with overall mastery per folder

The group also displays rankings (best success rates, most active) and support alerts (inactive students).

From My groups (I'm teaching) β†’ "Create a group". You can then add students and link educational folders.

From "My students" (I'm teaching), you can access each student's profile:

  • Indicators: attendance, success rate, mastery
  • Activity chart (cards studied and sessions)
  • Ranking by folder
  • Jin's recommendations (e.g., "Check in β€” No activity for 14 days", "Restart reviews β€” Mastery rate is 0%")

You can send a message or reminder directly from the student profile.

Jin analyzes your students' activity and automatically generates recommendations:

  • Folder alerts: widespread difficulties on a lesson (e.g., "50% of students below 5% success rate")
  • Student alerts: prolonged inactivity, low mastery
  • Individual recommendations: suggested actions for each student (check in, restart reviews)

The number of students depends on your plan:

  • Mentor: 10 students included (additional seats available)
  • Pro: 50 students included (additional seats available)
  • Establishments: custom

The seat counter is visible from "My students".

Credits are Memojin's internal currency for AI features. Each plan includes a monthly credit quota, which renews automatically with each subscription period.

You can track your AI credit quota from My profile: a single gauge shows the remaining percentage for the month and its renewal date.

Your monthly quota renews with each subscription period. Unused credits do not carry over from one month to the next.

Always by expiration date. Credits expiring soonest are consumed first.

No. The order is automatic to prevent any credit loss.

AI features are limited, but you can still:

  • Create cards and questions manually
  • Review and practice on existing content
  • Use decks, exams and calendar
  • Collaborate via the collaborative space

Yes. In I'm teaching mode, Jin automatically generates support recommendations for each student (restart reviews, check in) and identifies widespread difficulties on educational folders.
